Bijzonder fijne kalender van het merk Eitjes & Zaadjes met advies over hoe je kunt eten in balans met het ritme van je lichaam én met het ritme van ‘de natuur’. Deze versie is engelstalig. Wil je liever de Nederlands versie? Die vind je hier.

Eitjes & Zaadjes was founded by Rosa Hudepohl from Utrecht to help you live more in tune with your cycle. Rosa is an integrative health & nutrition coach and created the Cycle Calendar based on her own journey through scientific research on how nutrition affects the menstrual cycle.

The calendar provides information for each phase of your cycle, explaining which hormones are at play, how they affect your body and emotions, and what kind of nourishment your body needs during that time. It also offers insight into what foods are harvested in the Netherlands throughout the year—so you can eat in harmony with both your cycle and nature.

The calendar was designed in collaboration with Dutch artist and illustrator Juliette Krantz.

The calendar consists of five pages: a cover page with general information and four pages for each of the four phases of the menstrual cycle. These are the Menstrual Phase (Winter), the Follicular Phase (Spring), the Ovulation Phase (Summer), and the Luteal Phase (Autumn).

On the front of each page, you’ll find the foods your body needs during that particular phase of your cycle. That includes vegetables, proteins & fat, carbs and probiotics & herbs. 

On the back of each page, you’ll find:

  • Insights from cycle coach Rose van Ooijen on the energy, emotions, and "superpowers" of each phase

  • A graph showing your hormone levels during that phase

  • An overview of what seasonal foods are harvested from Dutch soil each month that fit to that fase

Not (or no longer) menstruating?
Even if you are currently not or rarely menstruating, and perhaps don’t fully experience the inner seasons, you can still find beauty in living and eating with the rhythms of the seasons.
There are many ways to do this. Some women, for example, follow the rhythm of the moon (a cycle similar in length to the menstrual cycle), or align themselves with the cycles of women around them.
Even outside the menstrual cycle, the calendar is a helpful guide for seasonal eating—based on what grows in Dutch soil throughout the year.

This is the second edition of the calendar. The interior is the same as the first edition, but now includes a cover page with additional explanation.
